Atticus: You practically never sleep in...ever. But if once in a blue moon it does happen, I can't seem to do anything else but stay next to you and watch you sleeping, waiting for you to open your eyes so that we can start our day

Atticus: Quiet moments in the afternoon light. I've been trying to slow you down lately and tame your wild side a little. Make you more aware of other's (mine) people's needs a little and start to lay some ground rules. Overall it's been a nice shift, you seem to be quite receptive and willing to talk things out and make fair compromises, and I have been feeling more level headed and less frantic and helpless.

Atticus: The scooter junkie! It took him a little while to get going and learn to steer, but ever since he finally got the concept, he's been unstoppable. He zooms down streets with such speeds that send my heart racing. I will need to get my own soon so I can keep up! All his left shoes are worn down to the last threads as he uses the tip of his shoe for braking - next step is to learn to use the actual breaking button.

Atticus: first day at Russian School (play group). It was a bit of a time warp for me, walking you to the same school I spent Sundays in, only yesterday, it seems. I tried to count the years it's been since I was last here in the car and stopped once I got to double digits. I hope you will be able to create some wonderful memories and friendship here, little man, just as I did all those years ago.

Atticus: dipping his little toes in the cool stream that runs around the magical children's garden. He spent the morning sending boats of leaves down the stream after observing the older boys doing the same. 

I'm loving the ritual that this 52 project has turned into. A few favourites from last week that made me smile: sibling love, this expression, and this cutie!
