"A portrait of Atticus, once a week, every week, in 2015."

22 |The neighbour's son drives a cool motorbike, which he leaves parked right at the front. Naturally, every time Atticus comes across it, we spend a good half an hour, milling outside, checking it out, praying that they don't open the door and catch us in the act. Here is is pulling faces at himself into the lights :)

19 | And just because it was Mother's Day last week, here are a few cheeky selfies from our little park picnic last week! Back to sunshine and t-shirts it was that day!
I hope all you lovely mums had a happy Mother's Day ! xx

18 | So we got back from almost 4 weeks in Bali (stinking hot, humid Bali, where you sweat as soon as you get out of the shower, where you are sticky 24/7, where little boys spend most of their days running around naked in their private pool villas, where laundry won't dry overnight...) and a few days after arriving off we went to freezing Daylesford for the weekend! What a shock to the system that was! It did feel nice to get some of that crisp fresh air in our lungs though, and to rug up by the fire, and to bite into those delisious fresh apples, straight off the tree.

17| After both of my yoga workshops finished, we decided to spend the last 4 days hanging out in Ubud. We had originally intended on checking out a coastal resort location on those last 4 days but after all the time we spent going to and from hospitals and caring for Atticus, we decided to stay put and enjoy. This photo was taken during a lovely morning trip to Sari Organik, a lovely cafe situated amongst lush rice fields. The only way there is by scooter or on foot - the road is not big enough for cars. We enjoyed a 45 minute or so walk through the rice terraces and ended up at a really lovely restaurant. Our meal was lovely and the adventure even more so!

16| At the Bali Bird Park. Probably the highlight of Atticus' Bali trip. He has been talking about those big beautiful birds non stop ever since.

15| Racing cars at Siloam hospital in Kuta. After 3 days of vomiting we decided it was finally time to make that inevitable (for us) trip to the hospital. Atticus was by then pretty severely dehydrated and we had to stay overnight for observation. No infection, just some sort of tummy bug that left him vomiting for days and not being able to keep his food down. He was pumped with fluid and given some anti vomiting medication and on Sunday night we were back in Ubud, ready to resume our Bali adventures. He was an absolute champ in the hospital. Give the kid a couple of cars and a racing track and he's happy to work from anywhere!

Seminyak

We've been back from Bali for a while now and I'm just starting to sort through the photos. I didnt take my DSLR out much, mostly because I didn't want to be faced with the daunting tast of editing a bazillion photos when we returned but nevertheless, I am still faced with half a bazillion pics to sort through and edit...so here goes the first installment!
We arrived in Bali a day late after our flight was cancelled and quickly settled into our beautiful villa in the heart of Seminyak. We spent the first week mostly in one pool or another...whether it be our private pool (in which Atti swam naked morning, noon and night) or next door at Potato Head. We ate delicious food at nearby restaurants and enjoyed strolling through the bustling streets, all sticky and hot from the balmy weather. Atticus ran through the streets, giving random beaming locals high fives and answering all their questions politely (what's you name...how old are you...where are you from?) We read books, played games and slowly started to learn to unwind and enjoy each other's company. Here's a selection of snippets from our first week.
